These veneers came off the saw for a Demilune but the figure was so good I couldn't bring myself to trim them into an ellipse. They were sawn from a single block of Macassar Ebony. Maple string inlay with a Redwood Lace Burl scallop. Wenge rim with a Bent lamination apron in the Redwood. Tapered square legs of Wenge covered with a maple lamination then recovered with Wenge again, for that string effect. I was in a rush on this photo for Woodworker West magazine and hadn't finished the pull. You can see it in the demilune photo.
