A swirly Eastern Walnut field, surrounded with a Wenge string inlay and a Curly Claro Walnut rim. The dovetails joining the apron corners are left proud of the surface, then beveled, for that faceted look. The aprons are sawn wider than necessary to get the material for the bent lamination curves at each corner. This design element has a structural purpose as well, greatly strengthening the leg/apron joint. Critical on a dining table to reduce wobble. This is a non-expanding table. Thanks to the Burtons for commissioning this piece.
