Another example of the client taking me in new directions. This Bolivian Rosewood display table was designed to enhance, but not to compete with a bronze casting. The casting was by an Italian sculptor, and was breathtaking. It weighed in at a little under three hundred lbs. As you can imagine, the joinery had to be extremely strong to support such a load over time. Introducing the wenge at all the edges really made this piece pop. Thanks to the Murphys for the opportunity to build this piece. It would never have been without your input.
