Another example of the client taking me in new directions. This Bolivian Rosewood display table was designed to enhance, but not to compete with a bronze casting. The casting was by an Italian sculptor, and was breathtaking. It weighed in at a little under three hundred lbs. As you can imagine, the joinery had to be extremely strong to support such a load over time. Introducing the Wenge at all the edges really made this piece pop.
